Scott Parkhurst

A lifelong automotive enthusiast, I got my first car at age 14 and have been avidly pursuing this passion ever since. I have always been interested in V-8 powered, rear-wheel drive American cars. Hot rods, customs, musclecars, and late-model muscle all pique my attention. Engine technology and the pursuit of horsepower is a particular interest, but developing platforms to showcase high-powered engines is almost as fun!

I'm now 40 years old, married, and the recent father of one. I have worked in various capacities in the automotive aftermarket, from a racing engine technician to a service manual writer to being on the staff of several automotive enthusiast magazines. I have built many project cars, tested many performance products, and am still learning the art of performance driving. I am currently building three different project cars, and all of them combine elements of traditional build styles with some high technology components.
