K&N FIPK Air Filter Assemblies

I’ve personally run a few of these in different applications, and they always fit well and are well engineered. The K&N FIPK product line is well-researched and delivers as advertised. The performance gains are measurable, and vary greatly from application to application. But regardless if it’s a tiny four-cylinder or a mighty V-8, the addition of a K&N FIPK will result in some measurable performance gain. I don’t think K&N would put their name on a product that didn’t improve performance.
The inlet tubing portions are always painstakingly researched to replace factory components. K&N FIPK kits typically do this in fine fashion, often reusing the factory hardware in the process. This kind of common-sense engineering simplifies the installation and also the maintenance requirements down the road.
The company was built on their original reusable cotton filter design, and these are well-refined after many years on the market. I’ve never had one that didn’t fit properly in any application, from simple round filters to more complex factory replacement pieces. The easily-maintained cleanable filter is the real deal, and will truly be the last one ever needed.
Even the maintenance procedure is a simple one. The company’s own cleaning kit makes both the cleansing and servicing procedures easy for even the most amateur technician.
It’s no secret there are many other companies producing both high-flow cotton filters and performance intake plumbing kits. This is fine, as competition can only result in better products. But, I always check and see if a K&N product is available when I’m ready to purchase an air filter or filter kit. They are the standard to which all others are compared, and the bar has been set pretty high.
