OPTIMA® Ultimate Street Car Invitational 2013 Official Schedule


Monday 11/6

8:00 AM – corral move in – all participants displaying in the OUSCI corral must meet at the SEMA Silver lot for placement in the corral.  Upon entering the corral, all drivers must check in at the OPTIMA trailer to receive SEMA credentials, OUSCI decals and OPTIMA swag packages (one OPTIMA swag package per driver – no exceptions).

All participants must schedule a TV interview with the BCII production crew before leaving.

Thursday 11/7 

11:00 AM - All participants must attend the Thursday press conference at OPTIMA booth #22755.

Friday 11/8 

3:00 PM – Mandatory – OUSCI Corral participants must report to OUSCI corral in the Silver Lot for start of SEMA cruise/DSE Road Rally.  Road Rally instructions and map will be distributed.

3:50 PM – Staging for SEMA cruise/DSE Road Rally begins (passengers allowed)

Saturday 11/9 

5:30 AM – Gates Open* (participants and staff only) (Dawn – 5:45 AM)

5:30 – 6:30 AM– Parking & Unloading (lower paddock) all vehicles must be inside and parked by 6:30 (Sunrise 6:13 AM)

6:00 AM – Registration – Building C behind Ron Fellows Corvette School (drivers license and proof of insurance is mandatory)

6:15 AM – Tech – Centerforce rig (line up as soon as you’re unloaded) – transponders in all cars

6:30 – 8:30 AM – Breakfast available

7:00 AM – Drivers Meeting – Building C

7:15 AM – Spectator gates open

NO PASSENGERS ALLOWED DURING ANY COMPETITIVE SEGMENT OF OUSCI

7:30 – 8:00 AM – OPEN TRACK – transponder check/track orientation (low speed lead/follow only, no passing)

8:10 AM – Benchmark Lap

8:15 AM – Competitive segments begin

Group C – BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge (3 timed laps)

Group A then B – Ridetech Street Challenge Autocross – upper paddock (3 timed laps)

Group C will proceed to the Ridetech Street Challenge Autocross at the completion of the BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge but will not run until groups A and B are complete.

Groups A and B will proceed to the BGF Goodrich Hot Lap Challenge following completion of the Ridetech Street Challenge Autocross. 

ALL GROUPS MUST COMPLETE RIDETECH STREET CHALLENGE AUTOCROSS BEFORE NOON!

8:15 AM - Lingenfelter Performance Design Challenge - judges will be circulating the venue during the entire day to judge your vehicle.  An independent panel of well-known performance, design and styling professionals will judge.

Each event must be completed before moving on to the next event. It is the driver’s sole responsibility to make sure you have completed each segment of  the event.

11:00 -12:00 PM – Lunch available

12:00 PM – Wilwood Disc Brakes Speed Stop Challenge (3 timed attempts)

Group C will start, group B will fill in as ready, followed by group A

12:00 PM – BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge continues

3:00 PM – End of competition - Compile all timing & scoring results

3:00 PM – OUSCI participant photo – all participants will gather at designated location (SMMR skid pad) for 2013 group photo

3:45 – 4:15 PM – Awards Ceremony (Sunset 4:45 PM)

5:30 PM – Gates close (Dusk 5:10 PM)

The winners of the Ridetech Street Challenge Autocross and the Wilwood Disc Brakes Speed Stop Challenge will be determined based on the fastest of three runs. The BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge event will be determined by the fastest lap time within one session.  The BFGoodrich Hot Lap Challenge session has one warm up lap and will be given the green flag.  The next three laps will be run in succession, followed by a checkered flag and one cool down lap, so each vehicle will run a total of five laps per session.

*All participants must arrive no later than 6AM to make sure we have enough time for parking, unloading and registration.  All participants must attend the drivers meeting and all vehicles must pass technical inspection before being allowed on the track.
