Mercury 250xs Outboards

The Mercury 250xs was introduced as a high-performance fish chasing machine. This direct injected V6 not only outperforms everything else in its class, it does this while attaining a 3-star CARB rating for emissions. Every second counts in competition and the 250xs helps push my Yar-Craft boat to the front of the pack. This engine not only features eye-watering top end performance, but with the help of my Optima BlueTop it provides quick starts in any conditions. When time is running out on my day I have full confidence that this combo is not only going to fire right up, but it will step up to any challenge I give it.
With today’s tournament rigs the Mercury 250xs delivers plenty of low end power to get you on plane. This engine also has mid range punch that will keep you hanging on. Mercury has a full line of props to fit the needs of any set-up to help squeeze out the maximum performance out of your rig.
The 250xs gets me to spot in a hurry, but once I am there I deploy the 9.9 Pro-Kicker. A big part of Walleye angling is trolling and Mercury has once again given us the upper hand. This little black beauty features trim and tilt, electric start, a stow feature that is almost bullet-proof, shift on the handle, and a high-thrust lower unit.
The Pro-Kicker helped bring home a victory for me this summer. I was able to present my crawler harness at .8 to .9 M.P.H. to alewife choked Walleye’s that had to be force fed. The shift on the handle feature came into play on several fish that I had to back down on. Total control is the name of the game and the Pro-Kicker delivers.
