Fabtech Dirt Logic shocks

Over the last 14 years of racing trucks in the off-road series I have had the chance to drive a variety of different vehicles.  Many of these specially prepared off-road cars and trucks have had huge differences in suspension set up and design.  Shocks play a very large part in this picture for off-road racing.  A properly tuned shock can mean the difference of 20 mile per hour in rough and technical terrain.

Our 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck was built with the new 4" Dirt Logic by-pass shocks.  The heavy truck (over 7000 lbs) carries 2 of these monsters per wheel and allows us to externally adjust the shock by making changes to the adjusters on the by-pass tubes.  These tubes allow us to change the amount of oil that flows through the tube around the piston and helps to control the shock in a position sensitive design.  Proper placement of the by-pass tubes allow the best fine tuning available.  The Dirt Logic shocks on our truck each carry 3 compression control tubes and one rebound control tube.  Each of the compression tubes are staggered along the travel of the shock to allow us to have a different setting for about each 1/3 of the travel.  This way we can make the truck feel very smooth in the little bumps and still have enough force to keep the truck from bottoming out hard in the big bumps.

The line of Dirt Logic shocks have a few things that make them work well and give the product a competitive advantage.  Every shock uses the highest quality seals and hoses to keep the long life of the product ensuring them to lead the industry in quality.  The Dirt Logic shock line also has internal shim stack valving on top of a high flow aluminum piston.  This allows for ultimate control over the feel of the ride no matter what any driver wants to feel.  The shocks also can be equipped with external reservoirs to further enhance the control and ride quality.  Our race prepared shocks even have dual reservoir hoses with check valves built into the top caps to ensure the oil circulation to the reservoir.  This technology allows the shock oil to maintain cooler temperatures and keeps your ride quality the best it can be without any fade from the oil getting too hot.  The Dirt Logic shocks give our truck the best ride quality I have had in any of our stock based trucks.

Fabtech engineers have worked very hard on these shocks to make them suitable for race action and also their street kits.  The same 4" shock design is available on several of the kits that can be installed on many of the current model trucks and sport utility vehicles.  Our race efforts and what is learned from the use of the product in racing allows the Dirt Logic shock to be the best product you can find to put on your truck or sport utility vehicle.
