Every year, the SEMA Show showcases the products and services on the cutting edge of automotive performance. This year, Optima wanted to do something special while we were there. We recognize that not everyone who is passionate about cars and trucks can make it out to SEMA. So we’re going to post photos, videos and stories of the most exciting stuff we see at this year’s show here.

We’ve assembled a team of people who are passionate about cars, trucks and the online automotive community. We invited them to meet with us at SEMA 2009, cover the show for their community, and sit down for some straight talk about Optima, about their rides, and about powering their passion into the future.

Check back here during the show to see what develops.

Cruising what I call the main hall of the SEMA show, it’s fantastic to see the great rides that make SEMA, the parts show, become SEMA the car show. Featuring the best built cars and timeless classics, it’s a mix of some of the...

SEMA Can Break You

November 5th, 2009

by Jim McIlvaine of ESPN Milwaukee Blogs

After three days, SEMA is beginning to take it's toll on the weak and unprepared.  At the very least, this show will help people find their personal limits.  This guy clearly blew through his threshold at some point and decided to take a snooze in the middle of his exhibit.  I had...

November 4th, 2009

by Robert Wray of MP3car.com

This isn't really car computing related, but here is some exclusive video after hours at the Lexus booth at SEMA 2009. Apparently there are no other places where you can get a first hand view of the LFA engine running so we are...

The SEMA Show even has a Champaign Room!

November 4th, 2009

by Jim McIlvaine of ESPN Milwaukee Blogs

Behold the Giovanna Wheels display at the SEMA show.  The wheel and tire guys (and Chrysler) are buried in a basement, out of the way of most of the SEMA traffic, but the trip downstairs is a must for any SEMA attendee.  As much as the economy has hit everyone, the wheel and tire guys...
