SEMA – Car Guy Heaven

Astute readers will remember this truck from a few years back…at least I think they will. I believe this is the same truck I drove out to the SEMA show in Las Vegas for Optima Batteries, although it could be an entirely different truck. It is jacked up and chock-full of all kinds of electronic gadgets, satellite TV, off-road lights and a million other goodies I can’t even begin to figure out how to work.
The SEMA show officially starts tomorrow, but all the heavy hitters in the automotive world are at the Las Vegas Convention Center today, setting things up. I’m absolutely amazed by the number of 2010 Camaros out here. Apparently, GM handed out a bunch of them to various shops, to customize specifically for the SEMA show. The rest were apparently snapped up by other shops, who weren’t on GM’s nice list. It kind of makes me feel fortunate to have been able to rent one in Southern California this past summer.
The GM Performance Parts booth is right next to the Optima Booth, so I’ll be headed over there shortly to take a gander, but it should be a fun couple of days in Vegas.
