OPTIMA Supports Team Green in its New Record

OPTIMA Batteries was on hand to support the NADM and Team Green as they went for broke to set a new diesel powered street truck record. Earl Stuckey’s Team green, based in Tallahassee, Florida, made the trek to Famoso Raceway near Bakersfield, California to try and set a new E/T record. Team Green’s first two runs were plagued by mechanical problems, but were quickly resolved by the final rounds.
After changing the exhaust configuration in the pits, the Team Green Dodge ran a 6.16 1/8th mile e/t, followed by a 6.15 e/t pass in the final round to propel them to victory and set a new street driven diesel truck record. Team Green is powered by a 5.9 Cummins diesel and runs four OPTIMA RedTops for juice. Team Green will sport the OPTIMA logo for the remainder of the 2008 season as they continue to lower the e/t’s and attempt to achieve new world records in diesel motorsports.
