1,400+ Horsepower on Tap!
Serious race cars require serious starting power. With a blown 509 cubic-inch big block under the hood, capable of hitting 136 mph in the 1/8th mile, few would question the legitimacy of Dan Novara's Chevrolet Nova. Novara gets things started with a pair of OPTIMA RedTops, which offer him the cranking power he needs.
As racers progress to even faster speeds, some will opt to go with YellowTops, if they remove the charging system from their vehicles. It is also a good idea to make sure any batteries relocated to an enclosed space are properly-vented to the outside. You can read more about Dan's ride here.
