Do you have money on the floor of your garage?
Do you have old batteries sitting in the corner of your garage? If you do, those batteries still have value to you. Many of the "bad" batteries returned to us under warranty are actually just deeply-discharged and work fine, when properly-recharged. However, before you take that old battery in for recycling, make sure it isn't just deeply-discharged. (This YouTube video explains how to recover some of these deeply-discharged batteries).
If you've found batteries that do need to be recycled, know that just about any retailer who sells batteries will glady accept your old batteries, even if you aren't buying a new battery. Not only will these retailers not charge you to take your old batteries, some of them will even give you store credit for each battery you return. We know Advance Auto Parts and Autozone offer $5 in-store gift cards for each battery and some other retailers may offer even better incentives. Take your batteries in today and be sure to share this information with your friends on Facebook a Google+ below!
