2018 Corvette Battery Size
The C7 Corvette is the final generation to have a front engine and rear-wheel drive configuration...for now and they're going out on top! Big power comes from a big engine, but that can also create big heat, which could be big trouble for a car battery. However, Chevrolet wisely relocated the battery for the 2018 Corvette to the rear passenger corner of the vehicle. That makes a lot of sense, versus keeping it tucked under the hood of a hot engine compartment, but it also helps distribute weight more evenly throughout the car.
The 2018 Corvette uses an H6 (Group 48) battery and OPTIMA offers a direct-fit replacement for the battery that came with the car. However, that factory battery should've lasted at least three to five years. If it didn't, it's worth taking a step back and asking why the battery didn't last longer. Most Corvettes are not used as daily drivers and if that's the case for your Corvette, how often do you drive it? If it only sees use on nice days and weekends, you should really make a point of taking better care of your battery. Tender loving care isn't needed, but if you keep it connected to a high-quality battery maintainer, like the OPTIMA Digital 400 battery charger & maintainer, you'll see much better performance and lifespan from your battery.
The best news is, if you buy an OPTIMA Digital 1200 Charger & maintainer from us at the same time as a new battery, we'll add a year of warranty coverage to your battery!
