The Detroit Speed Autocross is one of five segments that make up the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI), presented by Advance Auto Parts. Each segment is worth up to 100 points and each finishing position drops the point total by one, so first place receives 100 points, while 50th place receives 51 points. This year's edition of the Detroit Speed Autocross was actually the combined fastest times for competitors from two different courses laid out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The fields at these events are definitely getting deeper and the competition getting tougher, as the margin from first place to 50th place was less than five seconds for a layout that took most competitors around a minute to complete. However, the winner is a familiar name- Danny Popp and his 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. Popp has won the OUSCI four times in two different cars and while he came up short of a fifth title this year, his Corvette once again led the way on the Detroit Speed Autocross.
