OPTIMA's Search for the Ultimate Street Car, presented by Advance Auto Parts, visited Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama for the first time in the series history. The quality of the facility was well beyond what anyone had expected and that says a lot for a series that has visited so many of the country's top tracks. It was as if someone dropped a race track on top of a world-class golf course and sprinkled in a wide assortment of statues and other works of art around the grounds and turned the club house into the world's largest motorcycle museum.
Relief from the oppressive Alabama heat was offered in an air-conditioned viewing tower on the front straight of the race track, as competitors battled each other for valuable points and invitations to the 2018 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas.
