Going Topless for a Great Cause!

DateMarch 12, 2012
Each year, Jeep owners around the world celebrate all things Jeep by holding a "Go Topless Day." Even though this event is only five years old, it has quickly gained in popularity and spread around the globe with countless regional and local gatherings.

One of those local gatherings takes place in Newnan, Georgia and is hosted by the Georgia Crawlers 4x4 Club, in conjunction with the Off The Map 4WD Club. What makes this gathering a little different from the others is that these clubs have decided to use this event as an opportunity to raise money for very worthy causes.

In past years, proceeds from this event have gone to help the family of a Buchannan County Sheriff's Deputy, who was shot and paralyzed in the line of duty. This year, the proceeds from the event will benefit Humble Heroes, a non-profit, 501C(3) charity that is committed to standing behind the men and women who work in Public Safety.  This organization assists police officers, firefighters and their families, by providing financial and moral support to those who have been seriously injured or fallen ill, while building solid relationships between public servants and the communities they serve.

OPTIMA is proud to sponsor this outstanding event and very worthy cause.  For more information on Humble Heroes, please visit this website.
