How did you spend your weekend?
The OPTIMA Power Pack Nation had a busy weekend, but that's par for the course for us. The NHRA stopped in Brainerd, Minnesota and OPTIMA brought up their new show rig and watched as both Doug Kalitta Dave Grubnic qualified for the Countdown to 1. OPTIMA also sponsored the 2010 Show Ski National Championships in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Tournament tow boats, some of which were pushing 700+ horsepower, were equipped with BlueTops to make sure the engines fired and the show went on.
Elsewhere in the Power Pack's Nautical Nation, our favorite angler, Edwin Evers picked up yet another victory at the PAA stop at Lake Norman. Edwin claims he had his trolling motors on 9 all weekend and his BlueTops helped bring home the victory- http://www.bassfan.com/news_article.asp?id=3705
So what's the deal with the picture of that Army car? Even though most folks work Monday through Friday, we do tend to have a lot of stuff going on during the weekends. As a result, our employees often work weekends as well. Last weekend, Cam Douglass, OPTIMA's Director of Marketing and Product Development took a few personal days...sort of...and brought his Sprint Cup Army car out to run in the Sandhills Open Road Challenge in Arnold, Nebraska. OPTIMA is the official battery of that event and you can get more details on it here- http://www.sorcrace.com/ By the way, Cam did pretty well, finishing second in his class!
