Liquid Fire Fishing Wins King Mackerel Tournament

It's not often we hear of big paydays in tournament fishing, but we heard of one recently, when the OPTIMA Batteries-sponsored Liquid Fire Fishing Team took home a $73,435 payday in the Swansboro Five-0 King Mackerel Tournament. The contest was nearly over as soon as it started, as the Liquid Fire Fishing Team bagged this 51.82-pound King Mackerel at 7:45 AM on the first day of the tournament.

With 50 of the top fishing teams in the country converging on North Carolina for this contest, they knew they had to continue looking for a bigger fish to land, as no lead was safe. In the end, this hog proved to be too much for the competition and after two days of hard fishing, Team Liquid Fire emerged on top.
