After starting an impressive third at the 2019 NITTO King of the Hammers, powered by OPTIMA Batteries, OPTIMA-sponsored Ultra4 racer, Loren Healy's race was cut short around the 65 mile mark of the world's toughest one-day offroad race, due to a transfer case failure. Sidelined for the remainder of the event, Loren and co-driver Jesse Amyx, were left to watch as only 29 of the 111 racers would complete the event, including Loren’s new Fun-Haver Off-Road teammate, Vaughn Gittin Jr., who wound up seventh.

“We had an awesome two weeks out in Johnson Valley for the 2019 NITTO King of the Hammers, powered by OPTIMA! Although the races didn’t go as planned it was still a fun-filled week with the other half of the Fun-Haver Off-Road team doing an amazing job finishing in the top-ten and creating fun social content! I’m looking forward to a great season of racers, dealer activations and getting to meet all my fans. Look for me on the race course or on a trail all year long!” Healy competes next in his 4400 truck on March 23rd at the first West Coast Regionals race in Rancho Cordova, California.
