Johnson Valley, California exists 365 days of the year, but the place known as Hammertown only exists for about 30 of those days, with most of the inhabitants only spending two weekends of the year there. Hammertown is a pop-up city in the middle of the Mojave desert and it is where the Progressive King of the Hammers, powered by OPTIMA Batteries begins and ends. Just outside of Hammertown, there are wide open spaces featuring mountainous terrain, as well as dry lake beds, dunes and other features you'd expect to find in the desert.
