OPTIMA Batteries offers direct-fit battery upgrades for more than 95% of the motorcycles and scooters on the road today, including the Yamaha Majesty, which uses our QUAD12 ORANGETOP lithium battery. Getting at the battery in the Yamaha Majesty involves a bit of work, as two pins underneath the seat need to be released to allow the rear plastic trim to be removed, so the battery can be accessed.
If that sounds a bit involved, it is, but we have good news for you. OPTIMA ORANGETOP batteries come with a POWERLINK cable that comes off the battery and serves multiple purposes, including letting you know the approximate state of charge of the battery, offering an easily accessible way to charge the battery, as well as the ability to turn the battery on or off, including the use of OPTIMA's CPR system. The CPR system in OPTIMA Batteries holds enough energy in reserve to allow a bike or scooter to start one more time, just in case the battery was drawn down for some reason.
If you can route the POWERLINK dongle through the access panel underneath the seat, that would make access to the battery for checking voltage, turning it on or off and charging far easier than removing the rear plastic trim panel. Since the ORANGETOP is a lithium battery, if you do need to charge it, you should only use a charger that is either designed specifically for lithium batteries or has specific settings to charge lithium batteries. OPTIMA does offer chargers that are perfect for charging both lead-acid and lithium batteries, including our Digital 200+ charger & maintainer, which can connect directly to the POWERLINK dongle on your battery.
