OPTIMA offers three different battery upgrades for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Here's a quick comparison:
What do these numbers all mean? In terms of starting power, all three batteries far exceed the cranking needs of any Jeep Wrangler, whether it is a four-cylinder or 1,000-horsepower Hellephant swap. Starting power is measured differently for lithium batteries, but the end result is the same- plenty of cranking power.
In terms of capacity, the DH7 YELLOWTOP battery has the most rated capacity, although it should be noted that lithium batteries are far more efficient at delivering power, so it's not an "apples to apples" comparison, but there is more listed capacity to be had in the YELLOWTOPs. If your Jeep has a refrigerator, winch or massive stereo system, we'd recommend the DH7 YELLOWTOP to maximize that available capacity, which is essentially the size of your electrical fuel tank. All three batteries are designed and warrantied for both starting and deep-cycle use.
The QH6 ORANGETOP lithium battery is significantly lighter than the other two, but does that really matter in a Jeep, even the one pictured above that took the doors off? Probably not, but it is a much bigger deal in cars looking to shed as many pounds as possible to make them faster and nimbler on the track. They are listed from least expensive to most expensive and all three batteries have free replacement warranties, but the QH6 ORANGETOP warranty is two years longer. You can add an additional year of free replacement warranty coverage to any of those batteries, if you buy the battery and an OPTIMA D1200+ battery charger from us at the same time.
We make that offer, because we know proper voltage maintenance (~13.0V for YELLOWTOPs & ~14.0V for ORANGETOPs) will help maximize battery performance and lifespan. If you don't drive your Jeep daily, the best thing you can do to maximize that battery performance and lifespan is to keep it connected to a quality battery maintenance device as it sits, waiting for your next adventure!
| Size | Starting Power | Capacity | Weight | Warranty |
| DH6 YELLOWTOP AGM | 800 CCA | 72AH | 54 lbs | 3 Years |
| DH7 YELLOWTOP AGM | 880 CCA | 80AH | 60 lbs | 3 Years |
| QH6 ORANGETOP Lithium | 880 CA (Lithium) | 45AH | 20 lbs | 5 Years |
