The OPTIMA Batteries King of the Hammers presented by Ford Performance is an absolutely brutal offroad race that once again earned the moniker of being the world's toughest one-day offroad race. There were 99 entries listed in the qualifying results and the vast majority of those Ultra4 competitors never saw the finish line. In fact, just 27 Ultra4 competitors ended up completing the course.

The winner, Kyle Chaney, finished the race in just under eight hours and ended up being just one of two entries to finish in under 10 hours and one of five to finish in under 11 hours. Many regarded the format and layout of this year's Race of Kings as the toughest ever, with the last lap not revealed until just a few days before the race, with no pre-running allowed. Chaney's win signaled the first victory in the prestigious race for a UTV, re-igniting debates that have simmered since the first IFS entry won.
