Audi has been selling their Q7 Crossover SUV in North America since the 2007 model year and OPTIMA has had direct-fit battery upgrades available for most of those production years. The 2007-09 model years call for an H8 or H9 battery, depending on how your Q7 was equipped, although OPTIMA's DH7 YELLOWTOP could potentially be used in what we would consider a "custom fitment."

From the 2010 through 2015 model years, the Audi Q7 battery actually got smaller, which is an unusual occurrence in modern vehicles. For that era, the OPTIMA DH7 YELLOWTOP is a direct-fit upgrade, regardless of the engine in the vehicle.

Things changed again for the Audi Q7, starting in the 2016 model year and running all the way through the 2023 model year (except for the Q7 Komfort). In that era, the Q7 used either an H6 or H7 battery, depending on how the Q7 was equipped from the factory. OPTIMA offers direct-fit upgrades in both of those sizes, with our DH6 YELLOWTOP and DH7 YELLOWTOP

Many modern European cars require the entry of a specific PR code and possibly reprogramming of the vehicle's computer system, so you may want to consult with your local Audi specialist when installing an OPTIMA or any other battery into your Audi Q7. Regardless of which battery your Q7 needs or which battery you choose, you will maximize both performance and lifespan, if you keep it fully charged (~13.0-13.2V for YELLOWTOPs) whenever possible.

We're so confident this is true, we will add an additional year of free replacement warranty coverage to your OPTIMA battery, if you purchase a 1200 series OPTIMA charger from us, when you make your OPTIMA battery purchase.
