OPTIMA's QUAD30 ORANGETOP is a powerful, lightweight, direct-fit upgrade for the Polaris RZR Turbo R. While this battery will offer far more cranking power than any RZR will need, many RZR owners focus their attention on the capacity of the battery as listed in AH. This is the measurement that helps understand how long you can run a stereo or power a winch on just the battery power without the engine running.

Because ORANGETOPs are lithium batteries, they are far more efficient at delivering power than a flooded lead-acid or even an AGM lead-acid battery. That means the 15AH rating of an OPTIMA QUAD30 can deliver 90% or more of that capacity, while an AGM battery may deliver 60-80% and a flooded lead-acid battery may only deliver 50%. We know some RZR owners will upgrade to a physically larger AGM battery to get more reserve capacity, but they should factor that math into the equation when considering such an upgrade.

For example, a 28AH AGM battery may only deliver about 17-22AH of actual capacity and a 28AH flooded battery may only deliver about 14AH. To really get a significant additional capacity benefit from a larger AGM battery, you'll need to look at batteries rated above 30AH. Even then, an AGM battery will not deliver anywhere near the cycle life of a lithium battery. There may also be a warranty difference between OPTIMA's five-year, free replacement warranty and whatever warranty terms you may get on an AGM battery.

OPTIMA's ORANGETOP batteries also come with our CPR® system, which automatically turns the battery off, if it is being deeply discharged and holds enough power in reserve to start your engine one more time and get you home safely. That's particularly useful if you are parked with a radio playing, because it takes a lot more energy to start an engine, than to listen to music.

Whatever battery you choose, make sure you keep the voltage properly maintained (at least 12.6V for lead-acid batteries & ~14.0V for OPTIMA ORANGETOP batteries) whenever possible. Doing this will maximize battery performance and lifespan. We're so confident this is true, if you purchase an OPTIMA battery from us and buy an OPTIMA D1200+ battery charger at the same time, we'll add an additional year of free replacement warranty coverage to your OPTIMA battery!
